It’s been a big year and you’ve all had to go above and beyond, working in uncertain times.
Today the Health Quality & Safety Commission celebrates Te Rā Haumaru Tūroro o Aotearoa | Aotearoa Patient Safety Day. The theme for the day is Getting through together | Whāia e tātou te pae tawhiti.
Today’s focus is on thanking you – our health care workers – for your efforts and dedication through responding to recent crisis events and the COVID-19 pandemic. While you spend your time caring for others, please remember it’s also important to care for your own wellbeing.
Thank you, from the team of five million, to everyone in our network for your ongoing compassion and commitment. We hope you enjoy today and make time to celebrate in your practice this week, in whichever way suits you. Take time for yourself – talk and spend time with friends and whānau. And speak up if you need extra support, it’s okay not to be okay.
They’re doing an amazing job, and for them to put their lives on the line every day is just phenomenal.
