GPNZ is undertaking a project - led by Helen Parker, CEO and Dr Jo Scott-Jones, medical director - to quantify the national extent of the workload shift from secondary care to general practice.
This will inform advocacy on the future role of general practice, including its funding.
GPNZ is seeking 130 GPs across all DHBs to participate in a five-day audit in August.
GPs selected will be asked to complete one online form, each day, for five days. A link to the daily form will be sent at the beginning of each day. Each form takes 5-10min to complete.
Each GP will receive $150 for the week-long audit.
The data is submitted via the form and the numerical answers will be translated into:
The audit report will be published mid-late September.
Please contact Yazmin Dorey, details below, by Tuesday 3 August if you are willing to participate. We will then select GPs equitably across DHB areas.
Full information on completion of the audit, including payment instructions, will then be sent to participating GPs.
