NZNO and NERF scholarships: Applications open

If you are an NZNO member, and studying undergraduate or postgraduate degrees or diplomas, consider applying for a scholarship through NZNO.

Scholarships and grants are generally only available to current NZNO members.

Nursing Education Research Funding (NERF) closing 7 February 2025

The following funds are currently open to applications for study as well as conference planning, and attendance.

  • Research and Development Grant
  • Undergraduate Scholarship
  • Postgraduate Scholarship
  • Conference/Short Course
  • Conference Organisers / Speakers
  • Grant Mackie Scholarship for Māori undergraduate nurses
  • Dr Jane Nugent (pharmacology/prescribing) Fund
  • Effie Redwood Endowment Fund
  • Catherine Logan Memorial Fund

NZNO Maranga Mai! fund closing 31 March 2025

Purpose: to provide members with assistance for professional development activities to enhance health care outcomes/provision in Aotearoa New Zealand.

To apply you must be a financial member of NZNO as at 1 January in the year for which you seek funding.

Waikato Medical Research Foundation grant applications available

The Waikato Medical Research Foundation exists to support and encourage research within the Waikato region and to assist in the publication of the results of this research. The Foundation awards grants that contribute to the overall costs of the research project but do not fund overheads nor profit. Grant applications of up to $50,000 are welcomed.
