There is a growing body of research that tells us racism can cause harm and contributes to health inequities. Cultural safety and Tiriti o Waitangi (Treaty of Waitangi) competencies set out criteria that are protective and aim to reduce unsafe care within the context of Aotearoa New Zealand. This study will simultaneously identify nurse's access to professional development and training, as part of Sonia's Doctor of Philosophy study.
