The inaugural Taranaki DHB Consumer Council is seeking up to 16 members. The council is a governance group that meets monthly and reports directly to the chief executive of Taranaki DHB.
The council members will be made up of community focused leaders with a range of diverse backgrounds and thinking that will represent the whole community.
The new council will have a strong focus on improving equity for high-needs populations including Māori, people living in rural communities or with disabilities and young people. The council will have a governance role and work in partnership with Taranaki DHB to enable a community perspective on health matters.
