All general practitioners in a Pinnacle practice join Pinnacle Incorporated as a member. This ensures the organisation continues to have a grass roots, GP-led focus.
GP membership is a requirement of the Provider Agreement for practices joining the network.
Pinnacle Incorporated is governed by an executive committee which includes GP representatives appointed by Pinnacle Incorporated members at the annual general meeting.
Annual membership fees are $300 + GST (plus a one-off joining fee of $200 + GST). This covers the cost of your local postgraduate CME sessions and free access to Pinnacle GP targeted education sessions. There are a range of other benefits to membership.
Speak to your practice development facilitator or contact our governance coordinator. Alternatively you can download electronic copies of the membership documents below.
Use the membership change of circumstances form if one of your GPs is a member of Pinnacle Incorporated and they are moving to another practice, or leaving the network. This will ensure you and/or the GP are not invoiced incorrectly for their membership fees.
Use the locum GP or new GP notification form if your practice has a new GP or GP locum (short-term or long-term).
This information is used to complete the quarterly reports required by the Ministry of Health.
Nurse practitioners are not currently required to become members of Pinnacle Incorporated. However, they can access to flexible funding and capitation funding streams through primary health organisations (PHOs).
If your general practice wants to access funding streams for patients aligned with a nurse practitioner please complete and return the nurse practitioner capitation funding form below and we'll ensure funding is paid to you correctly.
