Funded papers towards a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Health Science (Health Leadership and Management)

Pinnacle Incorporated | 18/06/2025

Pinnacle Midlands Health Network (Pinnacle MHN) and the University of Waikato have co-designed papers towards a postgraduate certificate (PGCert) in health sciences (Health Leadership and Management). The programme will focus on the primary care setting and is jointly delivered by Waikato Management School and the Division of Health.

Pinnacle MHN is providing funding for a package of four taught papers (4 x 7.5-points). These will mostly be delivered remotely (online and via a learning platform).*

Why choose this programme?

  • Lead with confidence, clarity, and compassion.
  • Inspire teams, build trust, and drive meaningful change.
  • Turn numbers into impact.
  • Be the catalyst for transformation.
  • Delivered online to reduce barriers to access.

Who would this appeal to?

This paper is especially relevant for anyone working in a primary care and integrated care setting or for a primary health organisation, including general practitioners, practice nurses, nurse practitioners, other primary care nurses, managers, and primary care administrators.

Pre-requisites (eligibility)

  • An undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in health or business.
  • Being an employee of a Pinnacle practice or PHO.
  • Have full support of your manager, supervisor, or senior colleague.
  • Have regular access and use of a computer with reliable internet.

Register your interest

Pinnacle MHN invite those interested to complete and submit this form to show their expression of interest by Friday 18 July.

Unfortunately, records of previous expressions of interest were not maintained. As a result, we’ll need to restart the process to ensure we have accurate and up-to-date information from everyone interested. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to reconnecting with those who are still keen to be considered.
