Extended Care Team, Health Improvement Practitioners and Taranaki Primary Connections: Our teams will not be actioning any referrals from Friday 19 December until we return in 2026.

Extended Care Team: the team will not be processing referrals received after Monday 1 December 2025 as we focus on our existing clients before the holiday period. All new referrals received during this time will be reviewed and responded to after Monday 12 January 2026. Communications will be emailed to practices.
Primary Mental Health Team: the team will close for triage and allocation of referrals on Friday 14 November and will not be open again until Wednesday 7 January 2026. Communication about this has been sent to practices via the GPL newsletter.

Extended Care Team: the closure period includes Health Improvement Practitioner services across all practices in Taupō/Turangi.
School Based Health Services: School-based health clinics will close in line with the individual kura/school holiday dates over the summer break. The office team will be closed from Monday 22 December to Monday 12 January 2026. The rest of January emails and messages will be checked and responded to according to priority. B4 School Check Programme: Please note that the final day for the B4 School Check support desk at Pinnacle will be Wednesday, 24 December 2025. Services will resume on Monday, 12 January 2026. For any urgent requests during this period, please email B4SC@pinnacle.health.nz. This inbox will be monitored intermittently, and requests will be processed based on urgency. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Support to screening and stop smoking services: The final day for delivering outreach screening support services will be Friday, 19 December, with services resuming on 12 January 2026. Immunisation facilitation / cold chain service: Immunisation facilitators, Helen Ride and Pam Rudolph, will be on leave over the Christmas / New Year period however we will be providing essential contact for all cold chain issues during this time. Please email either Helen or Pam for further information and who to contact during this time.
Primary mental health: During the Pinnacle closure period, referrals to our primary mental health service will not be monitored or triaged. For any urgent matters please contact the crisis team.
Please note Dr Tony Muller, PHO psychiatrist, will operate with limited service during the holiday period. Dr Muller is available for phone advice only throughout the holiday season, including during the Pinnacle closure period. Full service will resume Tuesday 13 January 2026.
