Te Whatu Ora pelvic mesh complications service is a national service for people born with biologically female pelvic organs, who may have been harmed by mesh implanted for the treatment of urinary stress incontinence or pelvic organ prolapse.
Care and support options include continence care, chronic pain management, counselling, and surgery. Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists, social workers, psychology services, surgeons, pharmacist, sexual health therapist, pain medicine specialists, nurses, health navigator, and dietitian.
