Collaborative Aotearoa (Collab) has soft launched it’s ‘Guide for general practices employing a paramedic or extended care paramedic’ (PDF).
This resource has been created to support general practices when employing a paramedic or extended care paramedic (ECP) into their practice. It has been developed by Collaborative Aotearoa through collaboration with various partners across the health sector, including Avon Medical Centre and Pinnacle.
This resource will likely evolve as the scope of practice becomes more established and recognised. Practices may value this resource as a starting point for exploring the addition of an ECP to their team.
If you have feedback, it can be sent directly to the Collab at admin@collab.org.nz or contact Katie Latimer, Pinnacle general manager strategic development.
