The National Bowel Screening Programme age extension is being piloted by Tairāwhiti from October 2023 to inform the national roll out, indicative late 2023 onwards.
Te Whatu Ora Waikato and Mid Central are also undertaking age extension pilots.
In Tairāwhiti, Māori and Pacific peoples from 50-74 years will be eligible for the NBSP from early October.
