New Zealand ePrescription Service (NZePS) is updating how prescriptions are managed to support the Government’s upcoming 12-month prescription changes from 1 February 2026. A planned NZePS system update will take place on Wednesday, 3 December 2025, from 8:00pm to 10:00pm.
For NZePS prescribers operating on Wednesday, 3 December 2025 between approximately 7.30pm-10.30pm:
People using Accuretic will need to get a new prescription to change to an alternative high blood pressure medicine as soon as possible.
