Practice Plus is now able to offer in-hours virtual locum support for dedicated practices, where capacity is low due to staff sickness, or planned/un-planned leave. For more information contact the Practice Plus team.
Practice Plus provides telehealth (both video and phone) consultations to provide episodic after-hours care for patients, placed as an extension to general practice. If practices are lacking capacity, they have a trusted partner to refer patients through.
Currently, 35 Pinnacle network practices are enrolled with Practice Plus.
The Practice Plus January/February report shows activity from 8 January - 28 February 2023 (50 day period).
During this period, Practice Plus reviewed 188 patients presenting from the 35 different Pinnacle network practices - 97 percent of these consultations were resolved with no further GP or emergency management required. The four Pinnacle network practices with the most patients accessing Practice Plus ranged between 77-10 consults.
