In order to keep patient and practice data secure from cyber-attacks, ProCare is adding multi-factor authentication (MFA) to the login process for the Profusion Standalone website, Tableau and the MRI Providers Portal. As of Monday 31 July, you will have the option to set up MFA when logging in.
MFA requires users to enter a code which they can generate from an authenticator app from their mobile phone. This means even if cybercriminals steal your login details, they won’t have the code from your authenticator app so won’t be able to gain access.
Codes are time-based so you will only be asked to enter it every 30 days or if you change location. If you have a static IP address, ProCare can set your organisation/practice up as a trusted location which means that each user will only need to complete MFA once from that physical location and won’t be asked again.
