This programme is available for people with type 2 diabetes who need to start insulin. The service provides funding for an initial consultation to start insulin and one follow up appointment.

This programme provides funding for IV iron infusions for patients who meet the PHARMAC special authority criteria for prescribing subsidised ferric carboxymaltose (Ferinject) in the community.

Administration of IV adenosine treatment for patients with rapid palpitations and a systolic BP >100. 

This programme provides funding for contraceptive consultation including administration of Depo Provera, and the insertion of contraceptive implants and IUDs to target populations.

This funding supports the community-based management of eligible patients with measles, suspected measles or who are close contacts of measles cases in line with the Ministry of Health guidelines. Eligible patients must have been referred to practice by the Public Health Team in conjunction with contact tracing. No simultaneous claiming against any other funding stream can be made.

The subsidy provides a payment so that skin lesion surgical procedures can be offered to patients who would otherwise be unable to afford this service.

Treatment of adults with suspicion of pathological fracture where there is no history of injury and children aged 8-16 years for suspicion of SUFE (unexplained hip, or knee pain, especially if the hip is internally rotated and flexed).
