Te Whatu Ora Professional Development Preceptorship Programme

The objective of this programme is to facilitate the development of the preceptor role in the clinical teaching environment, learning and assessment of students, new graduate nurses and new staff members.

Who can attend?

Any staff who precept and orientate nursing students and new staff/new graduates nurses.

Dates

Both study days must be attended to complete the programme.

Workshops will be facilitated by the New Graduate Nurse Coordinator.

Day 1: Thursday 5 June, 10am-3.30pm

  • Face-to-face workshop at Hāwera Hospital.
  • Prerequisite: 2hrs eLearning (details given after enrolment).

Day 2: Wednesday 23 July, 10.30am-4.30pm

  • Face-to-face workshop at Hāwera Hospital.
  • Prerequisite: 2.5hrs eLearning (details given after enrolment).
