This study day is for nurses who are already doing diabetes annual reviews but want to feel more confident in advocating for escalation of therapy to the prescribers in their medical centre. This day will be centred around case studies, with a focus on newer medications and insulin therapy.

12.30-1.00pm: Neuropathy – it’s not just about feet
1.00-1.45pm: Lunch – BYO or visit the local cafes around the CBD
1.45-2.15pm: What insulin regimen to follow - Insulin algorithm for T2DM: the theory (Helen Morton)
2.15-2.45pm: Building an insulin start – before, doing, and after care: the practical (Suzanne Moorhouse)
2.45-3.30pm: Practical session – insulin pens, vials and paraphernalia Team PHO leading groups: the practice
3.30-4.00pm: Whanau voice
4.00-4.15pm Evaluation and closing karakia
