WONCA World Rural Health Conference 2026

From 9-13 April 2026, rural healthcare professionals, researchers, educators, and community leaders from around the world will gather in Wellington to exchange knowledge, spark innovation, and strengthen the global rural health community.

Registration is now open for this event dedicated to rural health.

Start your experience early with the pre-conference events and welcome reception on 9 April – a chance to meet fellow delegates, speakers, exhibitors, and sponsors in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Call for abstracts closes Friday 29 August

Rural health professionals, researchers, educators, students, and community leaders are invited to share their work and ideas with a global audience.

Whether you’re presenting a research project, case study, innovative solution, or community-led initiative, submissions are welcomed that reflect the conference theme He Tātai Whenua | A Connected Landscape – Equity, Community, and Innovation.

Help shape a bold and inclusive program that reflects the diversity and strength of rural health worldwide. Submit your abstract here.
