Te Whatu Ora is streamlining the training and authorisation pathway for authorised vaccinators (AV), creating a consistent national process. This includes the rollout of the workforce requests portal (the portal), an online tool for vaccinators to submit authorisation applications. Note there will be a pause in application processing over the holiday period.
A recorded webinar held 29 October explains the changes, and weekly Teams drop-in sessions are being held every Friday at noon to support vaccinators and employers.
Applications submitted via the portal will not be processed between 20 December 2024 – 12 January 2025. The portal will still accept applications.
To ensure pre-holiday processing, submit applications by 12 December with all required documentation.
