In all Pinnacle districts, POAC funding is available to help with the management of acute asthma in the community (Lakes, Taranaki, Waikato, Tairāwhiti).
In all but Lakes (Taranaki, Waikato, Tairāwhiti), POAC supports proactive care of people with respiratory conditions.
Dr Christ Tofield (GP leader in Tauranga) and his colleagues at Research Review have developed this free refresh on asthma management.
This module, specifically designed for GPs, is based on Research Review's Educational Series entitled 'Simplifying Asthma Management in Primary Care'. This in turn is based on the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation NZ Adolescent and Adult Asthma Guidelines.
