Dengue cases in the Pacific are at their highest level since 2016 (PDF). Several Pacific Island countries, including Samoa, American Samoa, Cook Islands, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga, and Tuvalu are experiencing a rise in cases of dengue fever. There is currently no dengue transmission within New Zealand.
