Pre-call and recall services for 6-week immunisations

Tairāwhiti | Preventative | Under 18

Overview

Your Pinnacle Services Contract applies to this service. By claiming for this service, you have indicated that you have read and agreed to the business rules set out here.

This is NOT a clinical guideline.

General practice plays a critical role in the delivery of childhood immunisations. This funding aims to alleviate some of the administrative burden currently being experienced by general practice and is part of a broader approach to support an increase in completion of 6-week immunisation rates.

Please note this funding is available 1 April 2024 to 30 June 2025.

6wk IMMS (standard) (one claim only): $46.00

This can be claimed for any tamariki who has had their 6-week immunisation completed during the period 1 April 2024 to 30 June 2025.

New guidance, approved by the Director of the National Public Health Service, introduces the upper age limit of 2 years for the Pre-call and Recall initiative payment for 6-week immunisations. • Standard - $46.00

This is an additional claim for high priority for any tamariki who has had their 6-week immunisation completed during the period 1 April 2024 to 30 June 2025 and who meets one or more of the following criteria:

  • Māori/Pacific
  • Community Service Card holders

Please note, if a review of claiming indicates that a claim has been paid for a patient who was not eligible for this service then you will be required to repay the claim.

What level of clinical notes do I need to submit?

Practices are required to provide sufficiently detailed consultation notes to determine appropriate use of funding.

Does the patient have to pay?

No. A patient co-payment cannot be charged.

How is the service funded?

The service is limited funding by Te Whatu Ora.
