Midland Community Pharmacy Group (MidCPG) is based in Hamilton and delivers publicly funded community pharmacy services across the Te Manawa Taki region.
MidCPG clinical pharmacists provide Medicine Use Reviews (MUR) and Medicine Therapy Assessments (MTA) for eligible high-needs patients across the Waikato region.
The service is centrally funded and free for patients. Referrals can be made by clinicians, patients, or whānau for anyone who is having difficulty understanding or managing their medicines, or if there is a need for optimisation of medicine regimens.

MMS pharmacists can visit appropriate patients at home or at an agreed clinic site for a consultation that may include:
Patients receive a personalised medication card and an action plan. The patient’s GP, pharmacy, and referrer receive a summary report following the consultation.
Strong & Stable is an ACC falls prevention programme managed and facilitated by MidCPG.
The programme runs group-based strength and balance classes delivered by trained instructors for older people across Waikato, with the aim of reducing falls and fractures.

From Term 3 2026, the School-Based Immunisation Programme (SBIP) will focus on delivering HPV dose 1 in schools, and HPV dose 2 will no longer be offered through schools. Whānau wishing to complete the two-dose course can access HPV dose 2 free of charge through general practice, pharmacies, and other community providers from August 2026. General practices are also encouraged to offer catch-up HPV vaccination to all young people aged 14 to 26 who have not yet received any doses.
