Dr Neil de Wet is the new Te Whatu Ora Taranaki medical officer of health.
Dr Jonathan Jarman finished in this role as of 27 February. He is heading back to Whangārei, noting "we originally came for five years but stayed for ten because Taranaki is such a special place. We are going to greatly miss the people and the mounga".
