Although things have improved, getting your immunisation data aligned between your PMS system and the Aotearoa Immunisation Register (AIR) can still be tricky.
Unfortunately, there are still cases where immunisations recorded in your practice PMS haven’t made it onto AIR. These gaps can affect the accuracy of patient records, potentially impacting patient safety and adding to your team’s workload.
Pinnacle MHN in Waikato now has a dedicated, experienced nurse vaccinator and admin support person ready to work directly with your practice.
Our team will come to you, bringing practice-specific data showing which vaccinations are recorded in your PMS but missing from AIR.
Together we can:
We’ll make sure our support fits around your busy day, with minimal disruption and maximum benefit.
At the end of the support, we will provide feedback on what we found, what we resolved and some key process improvements if applicable.

For the past 8 years I have worked in the health sector with Pinnacle. I started as a receptionist for general practice working within the Patient Management Centre (PAC), my role evolved to include contacting patients to attempt booking them in for immunisations, smears, B4 School Checks, confirming enrolment and credit control. I also worked on flu vaccine and MMR campaigns. Since July 2023 I’m the B4 School Coordinator for Waikato. My roles have exposed me to various patient management and national systems. I bring strong analytical and organisational skills to any task with a smile.

I’m an experienced Registered Nurse, having worked in many nursing environments including ED, practice nursing, COVID vaccinations and most recently as a mobile immunisation nurse working with the outreach team (for the past 2.5 years). The skills I bring to this project include, robust knowledge of the immunisation schedule and immunisation catch up schedules, a working knowledge of Indici and Medtech databases and a willingness to support immunisation improvement any way I can. I am looking forward to meeting you.

Offering both the flu and Zostavax (shingles) vaccines, a Hamilton initiative is reaching a high risk, vulnerable population who may otherwise have been missed.
Read moreFunding for Hiberix and Varivax will cease from 1 December 2024. The vaccines have been replaced by Act-HIB and Varilrix respectively. Practices should have stock of the new vaccines and should have already made the swap to these. If you have old stock remaining on 1 December, it needs to be returned to Propharma using usual processes.
The B4 School Check (B4SC) is a universal, comprehensive check for all four-year-old’s that includes height and weight, vision and hearing, immunisations, oral health, and behavioral and developmental components.
