The primary mental health team has a fixed term programme (funded by Te Whatu Ora until 30 June 2024) available to assist communities in the Hauraki Coromandel areas affected by Cyclone Gabrielle.

This programme is accessible for all Hauraki residents and will be for patients whose mental health wellbeing (mild to moderate only) has been adversely affected due to cyclone events and require psychosocial interventions to reintegrate into daily routine/structure. Patients have a choice to engage in informal or structured therapy groups facilitated by registered health professionals.
