The Power BI dashboards are designed to give you clinically useful information that will help you to improve the care of your patients. Our clinical dashboard programme aims to provide focussed data visualisations of your own practice information. The dashboards will give you practical outcomes for individual patients and populations, and in particular support pro-equity activity.

Legislation is currently being amended to allow prescribers to in certain circumstances prescribe 12-months of medication. Prescribers will be responsible for determining the clinically appropriate prescription length and can prescribe for shorter periods or longer periods of time. It is expected the legislation and IT systems (such as PMS and pharmacy systems) are coming into effect on 1 February 2026.
In October 2024, Pharmac introduced funded diabetes technology for people living with type 1 diabetes. Most people who choose to use this technology are now established on CGM, and more than 60 per cent are using insulin pumps or automated insulin delivery systems.
